In order to develop Breeding Values for lamb survival the reason a sheep is no longer reported to Sheep Genetics needs to be captured. FATE codes have been developed to capture the reasons why animals leave the system. If you are interested in improving lamb survival you need to record FATE codes for all your sheep.
