The 25th Conference of the Association for the Advancement of Animal Breeding and Genetics (AAABG) was held in Perth, WA in July 2023. The paper presented at the conference, “Evolution of Sheep Breeds within Lambplan and the rise of the Composites” contains a summary of the major breed contributions in the Lambplan analysis in the years 2000 and 2020. It shows that White Suffolks in the year 2020 had increased the number of animals and flocks in the analysis to be the most numerous breed in Lambplan.
